The original Kerbal Space Program was created by developer Squad, but Kerbal Space Program 2 was announced at Gamescom 2019 as a project by Star Theory Games, under the Private Division label. Kerbal Space Program is a space flight simulator, where the player must help a tiny, spacefaring culture navigate the stars by helping them create the actual infrastructure and craft necessary to survive. This was later confirmed by a post on the developer’s forums by creative director Nate Simpson. Kerbal Space Program 2 is being delayed until 2022, according to a financial report from Take-Two Interactive.
