![]() He worked in the textile business his entire life in some form or fashion and continued to dabble in it right up until his death. Quincy was a graduate of Williams High School (1952) and Elon College (1956). Memorials may be made to the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford and the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. The family will hold a private memorial luncheon at a later date. Dewey (Gail) Carter, Sister-in-law Shirley Boswell, Brother-in-law Bobby Ray and many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife and little dog Asher, his daughter LuAnn (Lee) Isley, and granddaughters Carter Isley and Lauren (Gerald) Kincer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lavinie Suber Carter and Quincy Carter Sr. Quincy loved his family and he told them how proud he was of them every chance he got. He constantly stated how lucky he was to have her and the only concern he had of death was that he wanted to pass away before she did because he would be lost without her. He was married to Joyce Guthrie Carter (of the home) for 59 years and remained adamant that she was still the prettiest woman he had ever seen. Everyone loved his sense of humor and good nature. He was a wonderful story teller and never shied away from a good time or a party. Quincy Alger Carter Quincy was a graduate of Williams High School (1952) and Elon College (1956).
